[POSTPONED: April 1, 2022] Enter: Shikari / Wargasm (UK)
We’re almost entering into an area of bands that I considering seeing based on very little.
Sometimes, when a venue promotes a band pretty heavily it’s easy to get caught up in the hype. There’s also a lot of bands that have been around for fifteen or twenty years that I completely missed when they had their popular surge.
Enter: Shikari (I think that I just like the colon in their name) has been around since 1999 and originally were kind of a screamo band that was really heavy but had lots of synth and electronic elements too. It’s the kind of thing I want to like but I tend to not, really.
It’s probably the kind of show I would go to where everyone is a diehard fan and I’d enjoy the songs but not know any of the songs.
I also didn’t realize they were British.
Regardless, they postponed this tour until the fall.
Due to ongoing uncertainty caused by COVID19 and impact upon safe touring, ENTER SHIKARI have made the decision to postpone North American dates originally planned for March/April 2022 until September/October 2022.
All tickets for original dates remain valid for new dates.
Unfortunately, with congestion on the Fall touring circuit and the issues it has created around routing a five-week-long tour, four shows from the original dates have now had to be fully cancelled: Houston, TX, Minneapolis, MN, San Francisco, CA and Sacramento, CA.
Wargasm (UK) [there was an American band called Wargasm in the late 90s] play a kind of digital nu-metal. Evidently their live shows are insane. There are only two people in the band (three more when touring). Lots of screaming. They’d be interesting to see.
