[ATTENDED: September 28, 2025] All Things Go [Day 3]
And we woke up for Day 3. A nice perk is that the hotel is next to a Royal Farms so I grabbed some fried chicken and their weird Chicken Palooza shirts (on sale for $5 since the Palooza was over).
This day proved to be very confusing because things were shuffled around.
Lola Young was supposed to perform but she got sick the day before and couldn’t make it (this was devastating to me as she was the main person I wanted to see today). And they switched where the final acts were going to perform. DJO was supposed to play just before Kesha at the Pavilion stage and Doechii was supposed to headline the smaller stage. They switched those two (I’m not sure who benefitted from that more). But we didn’t find any of that out until we were there.
We headed over to the venue relatively early because we had to check out of the hotel. I wanted to see Jasmine 4.T because they opened for Lucy Dacus when we saw them but we arrived too late and missed their whole set. So, typical, we arrived near the end of the 20 minute set today too.
They were playing at the Chrysalis Stage and it was really hot. But some nice women shared their picnic tale with us (which was in the shade!) and we enjoyed watching the bands from there.
So we missed Molly Grace entirely since she was on the other stage. As we were making plans for how to handle the rest of the day, they announced that Lola wouldn’t be there. Some bands were moved to different stages and they announced that Doechii would be on the Pavilion Stage rather than the Chrysalis Stage. My daughter was here for Doechii and we had pretty much planned to stay at the Chrysalis Stage all day to see her. So that changed things too.
We stayed at Chrysalis stage to watch Peach PRC (who was famous for having a stripper pole as part of her set) and then we moseyed about getting food and checking merch and we grabbed some seats in the Pavilion just before Ashe came on.
I enjoyed how hard Maude LaTour rocked, but we did watch the videos of Griff and Marina. And at our stage we saw Rachel Chinouriri and Role Model before Doechii came on.
We had a discussion whether it was better to headline the small stage or be second to last at the big stage. Since I thought the DJO was just chill synth music it made sense to me to move him off the big stage. And Doechii’s set was MASSIVE, so it made sense that she was at the big stage. But DJO’s band was pretty huge and they really rocked the small stage. So I still don’t know what’s better.
I admit I was curious about DJO, but my daughter had a beef about him. And while I was interested in seeing Kesha (more out of curiosity than a real desire to see her), since Doechii ended at 8, we took the opportunity to leave early and head straight home–arriving before midnight!
As with last time, it was exhausting but fun. It amuses me that my daughter and I are so different about what we want from a concert, but this festival is all about her. And as long as she doesn’t mind me running away from her for the one or two bands I want to see close–and she doesn’t mind going off on her own to explore–we had a great time together.
I’m curious if she’ll be available to go next year since she’s college bound.
MISSED:
Molly Grace–I didn’t know her at all. But she seems like a fun and sassy pop singer. She’s a queer singer from Nashville, but doesn’t sing country. I’ve enjoyed a couple of her songs and I think she is probably really fun live.
The Aces–A fun indie pop band. Probably more pop than indie, but they are truly an indie enterprise and I like that about them.
Michelle–apparently they broke up just before this event but they decided to play ATG. They were too R&B for my liking. I think we heard one song.
Maude LaTour–was on between Ashe and Rachel. She rocked harder than a lot of the other bands and I liked her quite a bit. Even more when I learned that she studied philosophy at Columbia University.
DJO–So I knew that DJO was Steve from Stranger Things and I assumed that’s why he was so popular. Because I had heard a song or to by him and they seemed really boring–like synthy meandering things. But watching the video online, his show really rocked and he was a lot of fun. I don’t know what I heard from him initially but I may have to check him out more.
Kesha–I don’t really know all that much about her. I had dismissed her as a pop singer when she first came out but I’ve since read stuff about her and I have more respect for her. I’d have been interested in seeing her, but we would have had to wait at least an hour for her to come on so we left.
Lola Young–poor Lola.
WALKED IN DURING
Jasmine 4.T–Their song Elephant was one of my favorite songs of the year. I’ve been pretty excited to see them and things kept preventing me from seeing them properly. I believe their set was four or five songs. They rock pretty hard and Jasmine has a unique voice that I find strangely compelling. And I love that their line up is guitar, bass, drums and violin. Wish I could have seen the whole set. It was weird after their set, I saw Jasmine walking away carrying the guitar. I would have loved to say hi, but I was way too far away. SETLIST
Guy Fawkes Tesco Dissociation · I Can’t Believe I Did This Without You · You Are the Morning · Elephant.
SAW
Alemeda –I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed Alemeda. I didn’t know anything about her, but she had a fun sassy indie rock vibe.
Peach PRC–gets her own post.
Ashe–gets her own post.
Rachel Chinouriri–gets her own post
Griff –is a British singer songwriter. We saw about 2/3 of her set on the screen. I was fascinated by her outfit which was like a bikini of orts and then a wedding dress that was tied in the front but draped around the back. SO she had a big train of toile behind her but her legs were visible. Aside from that her music was good–some hooks and her voice was really good.
Role Model–My daughter really dislikes Role Model (the band name of Tucker Harrington Pillsbury). I’m not exactly sure what her beef with them was, but it was pretty intense. So it kind of sucked that they were on stage in the Pavilion while we were there. In fact, she used their set time to go check out the rest of the offerings at the festival. Her attitude made me not want to like him (them) either. Especially when I read that he used to be a rapper before he became this folk singer. When he came out on stage, holy crap the crowd went nuts. And he started up and I immediately didn’t like his music either. His songs were strangely country like and they all sounded the same to me. And I didn’t like him either–he was too cocky (although I did appreciate his shout out to Lola Young and he wishing her well). I didn’t know his big hit Sally. Evidently this song is a massive part of shoe and he always brings someone out to sing it with him. Today it was Griff. Amusingly since the show, I have heard the song countless times on the radio and I find it insanely catchy. But I still don’t like him.
Marina –After reading up on Marina before she came on the video feed, I really wanted to like her a lot. Her set was arranged like a video game. There was a Princess of Power opening video screen and lots of animated superhero videos (she was the superhero).
Doechii–gets her own post.
Below is a picture of the crowd from my seats.
As well as a picture of Griff.
