The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
19,000 people fit into the new Barclays Center to see Jay-Z perform. This blog was viewed about 130,000 times in 2012. If it were a concert at the Barclays Center, it would take about 7 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Hi Paul – hey, I’m honored to be your top commenter – and you were mine as well.
Your “how did they find” list looks a lot more respectable than mine. Seems a lot of people really wanted to know the sexual preference of a certain Food Network Star contestant. He came in first and third (which is why I’m not making the list public), and one post about the show he was on finally, for the first time in two years, outdid the yogurt commercial that’s been my top post for two years. I was kind of pleased that three lit posts actually made the top five – Diaz, Egan, and Dybek – even if two of them were from 2011. I was surprised not to see Diaz on your list as well, it was topping my stats for weeks, people looking for the book, I’d assume. The others are all students looking for term papers, I’m guessing.
So I wanted to leave a cheer for your work on lit – those weeks you spent on Gaddis, for instance. The Galchen pieces you uncovered (I hear she has another fiction piece in TNY right now). Maybe it doesn’t show up in your stats, but it’s impressive work.
And I’ve been watching the Portlandia marathon – which you introduced me to.
